Here at Consumer Protection BC, we are helpers and we believe in making a difference. Our employee-driven and organization-supported GIVE program is one of the ways we do that. Let us tell you more about GIVE…
At the beginning of each year, our staff are invited to nominate a registered charity. Two charities are selected at random – one from our Burnaby office and one from our Victoria office – and those are the charities that will get our donations for that year.
Our staff come up with fun fundraising activities – as a group or as individuals. When we are working in the office, it’s been events like potlucks and hot dog days, and if we are working remotely, it’s been fitness challenges and online games. Over the years, we’ve been so happy to donate several thousand dollars to charities supporting children, animals and other areas of need.
At Consumer Protection BC, we are a small team of 40 people but we are mighty in our desire to support our community. Just like the teams at our local charities who work tirelessly to help others.
