Consumer Protection BC has suspended the licences of two home inspectors in BC for:
- Failing to obtain and maintain insurance, contrary to section 7.1 (b) of the Home Inspector Licensing Regulation
The individuals/businesses with suspended licences are:
- Dwight Carroll of AKELA Quality Technology, based in Kelowna, BC
- Licence suspended on October 13, 2022

- Licence suspended on October 13, 2022

These home inspectors are prohibited from conducting home inspections until their licence suspension is lifted.
By law, the individual/businesses have 30 days to request a reconsideration of the decisions.
