Licence application fees
- Funeral provider licence: $777
- Licence for funeral director, embalmer, or both: $275
Licence renewal fees
For applications submitted more than two weeks prior to licence expiry
- Funeral provider licence renewal: $200
- Licence renewal for funeral director, embalmer, or both: $200
For applications submitted within two weeks prior to licence expiry
- Funeral provider licence renewal: $275
- Licence renewal for funeral director, embalmer, or both: $275
Other fees and charges
- Priority inspection of a new facility before licensing: $370
- Administrative fee under funeral provider’s license: $48*
- Late submission of administrative fee: $311
- Late submission of annual preneed sales report: $311
- Business name change: $75
- Business location change: $75
- Change in senior officers / director of the licensee: $75
- Licensees’ employer change: $75
- Submitting a non-sufficient fund (NSF) payment or declined credit card payment: $50
- Application for reconsideration of a decision: $311

*Exemptions for administrative fees are:
(i) death registrations where the services are paid for by the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee, the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction, a First Nation funded through the Federal Department of CrownâIndigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC), a First Nation Administering Authority administering an Income Assistance Program on behalf of Indigenous Services Canada; and
(ii) death registrations in respect of an infant either stillborn or deceased at less than 7 days of age.
