SAANICH, BC – July 13, 2026 – Consumer Protection BC announces the appointment of Serge Bourdage as its next President and Chief Executive Officer, effective August 24, 2026.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am pleased to welcome Serge as our next President and CEO,” says Bill Snell, Chair of Consumer Protection BC’s Board of Directors. “Following a thorough and competitive process, the Board was impressed by Serge’s leadership, strategic insight and strong business acumen. We look forward to working with him to advance consumer protection priorities across the province.”

Bourdage brings more than 20 years of leadership experience with Advanced Solutions, a BC-based IT company providing services to the public sector, where he most recently served as President. Previously, he worked for Shared Services BC.

“I have spent my career working with strong teams to navigate complex challenge in high-trust environments,” said Bourdage. “I care deeply about building inclusive, respectful workplaces and contributing to work that benefits the people of British Columbia. It is a privilege to be part of the Consumer Protection BC team.”

Bourdage joins the BC regulator following the April 2026 retirement of former President and CEO Rob Gialloreto, who led the organization for more than a decade.

Bourdage holds an MBA in Executive Management from Royal Roads University and a Graduate Certificate in Project Management. A proud British Columbian, he values health, family and personal growth, and is actively involved in coaching and training in martial arts.
