Fee review for 2022 – 2024: travel

We are undertaking a fee review for all our licensed sectors. In 2020, we postponed our regularly scheduled fee review and deferred all fee increases, keeping all fees at 2020 rates for 2021. We recognize that your sector has been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and we are considering how best to apply the fee changes over the 2022-2024 period.

At this time, we are preparing a fee schedule for implementation for 2022-2024. As part of the process, we are providing an opportunity for feedback to all licensed travel agents and travel wholesalers in BC. We will make a firm decision on the actual implementation of increases for your sector for 2022 in the fall and provide you with 90 day’s notice. As we have always done, we will work with you to find the best scenario for your sector balancing our legislated duty and associated costs to license and regulate your sector.

The consultation paper below includes an overview of our fee setting process, how we use fees, and how you can provide feedback on our fee review process.
