Consumer Protection BC has suspended the licence of CRC Enterprises Ltd. (dba CRC Credit Recovery Centre), a debt collection agent and bailiff based in Prince George BC, for allegations of non-compliance of BC’s consumer protection laws by:

  • Failing to provide information as required, contrary to section 189(5)(b) of the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act (BPCPA)
  • Hindering and obstructing an inspection, contrary to section 189(5)(e) of the BPCPA
  • Failing to account for and pay money in a timely way to creditors for whom it has collected funds, contrary to section 126(2)(a) of the BPCPA
  • Failing to provide an accounting to the creditor for money collected, contrary to section 126(3) of the BPCPA

The licence suspension is effective immediately and remains in place until a complete inspection can be performed and until we are satisfied that there is no longer risk to the public interest in allowing CRC to operate as a debt collection agent and bailiff.
