Consumer Protection BC has suspended the licence of Roxy’s Gifts and More and of NP Boutique, two adult video stores based in Metro Vancouver BC, for selling unapproved adult films, contrary to section 3(2) of the Motion Picture Act (MPA).
- For Roxy’s Gifts and More, the suspension will take effect on June 22, 2018, through June 24, 2018. Read the licence suspension notice and reasons for the decision.
- For NP Boutique, the suspension will take effect June 22, 2018, through June 26, 2018. Read the licence suspension notice and reasons for the decision.
During the suspensions, they are not allowed to rent, lease, sell, or supply adult films, offer to do any of those things, or generally conduct any business, including any promotion of the business to the public, as an adult film retail store.
By law, the businesses have 30 days to request a reconsideration of the decisions.
