Consumer Protection BC has issued a licence suspension for Bright Holiday Travel Ltd., a licensed travel agency based in Richmond BC, for:

  • Failing to provide payment to the Travel Assurance Fund, contrary to section 17 (3) of the Travel Industry Regulation (TIR)
  • Failing to provide the required financial report within 90 days of the fiscal year, ending November 30, 2018, contrary to section 12 (1) of the TIR

The licence suspension is in effect immediately until further notice.

By law, the business has 30 days to request a reconsideration of the decision.

All money received from administrative penalties is deposited into the Consumer Advancement Fund (as required by section 169 of the BPCPA).
