Consumer Protection BC has issued a licence suspension and an administrative penalty against Sunwin Travel Ltd., a travel agency based in Burnaby BC, for:
- Failing to provide the required financial report within 90 days of the fiscal year, ending August 31, 2018, contrary to section 12 (1) of the Travel Industry Regulation, an administrative penalty of $4,000
The licence suspension is in effect as of December 31, 2018, until further notice.
By law, the business has 30 days to request a reconsideration of the decision.
All money received from administrative penalties is deposited into the Consumer Advancement Fund (as required by section 169 of the BPCPA).
