Consumer Protection BC has issued a compliance order against CARE Funeral Services, a licensed funeral services provider based in Victoria BC, for:
- Failing to submit funeral services preneed contract reports to Consumer Protection BC in accordance with section 10(1) of the Consumer Contracts Regulation
The business has been ordered to deliver a report for the 2020 fiscal year that includes the required information and to use the same online tools and templates for future reports. The business has also been ordered to reimburse Consumer Protection BC costs for the inspection in the amount of $475 within 30 days.
By law, the business has 30 days to request a reconsideration of the decision.
