Real estate is regulated by the  Real Estate Council of British Columbia (RECBC). They license real estate agents and brokerages engaged in real estate sales, rental property and strata management. They also enforce standards of conduct and investigate complaints from the public. Their website includes a licence search, information on buying, selling and strata resources.

Real estate appraisers are overseen by the Appraisal Institute of Canada. Their website includes what to do if you have a complaint, consumer guides on the appraisal process and an appraiser search.
