hello – can you help me please – I cannot find this info anywhere. I have spoken to 2 people and no one seems to know. I found this doc in the past, but cannot find it now. I need to have a copy of the doc that says it is the law that BC merchants/retailers MUST GIVE YOU A RECEIPT FOR YOUR PURCHASE! There are a few mechants that seem to disagree with this – can you help. Thanks very much, Debbie
Hi Debbie, thank you for contacting us. It is my understanding that there are no laws or regulations that address this in BC. If you have paid with your credit card, you may be able to use the credit card statement as a proof of purchase. I hope this information helps.
