{June 13, 2011} Air Canada has announced that their call centre and airport customer service agents may proceed with strike action as early as June 14, 2011.  On the Air Canada website, the airline states that "if call centre and airport customer service agents walk off the job, we will continue to operate our full flight schedule."

Some of the information posted on the Air Canada website includes the following excerpt from the Frequently Asked Questions section of their notice to consumers:

A. Air Canada will maintain a full schedule. Updates can be found on www.aircanada.com

  • Check-in through aircanada.com.
  • Give yourself more time and arrive early at the airport.
  • Verify that your name is spelled correctly on your ticket.
