Consumer Protection BC Advises Travellers They May Be Eligible for Refunds Print E-mail

{May 11, 2012} VICTORIA, BC – Consumer Protection BC is informing consumers that Shilla Tours and Travel Ltd., a travel agency and wholesaler located in Burnaby, has ceased operations effective today.  Consumer Protection BC is aware that there may be consumers who are impacted by the closure and is advising travelers who have made travel arrangements with the agency and have not received their travel documents to contact Consumer Protection BC as they may be eligible to claim against the Travel Assurance Fund.

Potential Air Canada Strike Print E-mail

{March 8, 2012} Air Canada has announced that their mechanics, baggage handlers and cargo agents may proceed with strike action as early as Monday March 12, 2012.  On the Air Canada website, the airline states that "should a settlement not be reached and job action commence, the airline will endeavour to minimize inconvenience to its customers."
