| BPCPA announces telemarketing industry advisory group appointments |

{October 5, 2007} VICTORIA, BC – The Board of Directors of the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Authority (BPCPA) is pleased to announce the following appointments to the Telemarketing Industry Advisory Group. Appointments are effective November 1, 2007 and individual terms range from one to three years.
The purpose of the Advisory Group is to identify consumer and industry related issues and potential solutions for consideration by the BPCPA. The group also provides feedback on matters put forward by the BPCPA for consideration. “We are confident that the new group possesses a strong contingent of knowledge and experience,” says Frank Barr, Chair of the Board of the BPCPA. “Their contributions will be invaluable in supporting the BPCPA’s vision of a fair marketplace for BC consumers and businesses.” The BPCPA promotes a fair marketplace for BC consumers and businesses.
