New Licensing Fees in Effect in March Print E-mail

{January 10, 2011} VICTORIA, BC – After conducting industry consultations, Consumer Protection BC is adjusting the licence fees for motion picture distributors, video distributors, video retailers, adult film distributors, adult film retailers and theatres.
The new fees were approved by the Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General in December, 2010 and will come into effect on March 1, 2011. Please click here to view our notice to the industry and new fee schedule (PDF).

Consumer Protection BC is a not-for-profit corporation that was created to strengthen consumer protection in BC and enforce consumer protection laws. We balance the interests of all parties to promote a marketplace that is fair for both BC consumers and businesses.
