The following were determinative to the classification decision:

- Nine scenes of violence depicting fighting, electrocution, decapitation and explosions;
- Four frightening scenes depicting supernatural events and creatures.

Percy Jackson & the Olympians The Lightning Thief does not contain coarse language, nudity or sexually suggestive scenes.
