Home Inspectors Consultation Print E-mail

{January 17, 2008} - The Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General is responsible for consumer protection legislation in BC.  The Ministry is developing regulations for licence requirements in order to practice as a home inspector and establishing other rules to protect consumers.

A consultation paper and questionnaire is now posted on the Ministry's website.  This consultation provides an opportunity for home inspectors, consumers and others to provide feedback on regulatory proposals.  The responses received will help determine appropriate regulations and standards for the home inspection industry.  Please note that the deadline for responses is February 22, 2008.
