Fee Schedule Collection Agents, Bailiffs and Debt Poolers |

The following fees, charges and other amounts, set by the Authority under section 179(1) of the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act S.B.C. 2004 C.2 (the Act) are payable by a “collection agent”, “bailiff” or “debt pooler” (as those terms are defined in the Act) to the Authority in respect of the matters described opposite the fees, charges or other amounts:
- subject to Note (c) below, fee for an application for a licence for a
collection agent employee/bailiff/debt pooler (new & renewal)....................................... …………$180.00 - subject to Note (c) below, fee for an application for a new licence for a
collection agent/bailiff/debt pooler................................................................................................ $1,044.00 - subject to Note (b) below, application fee for a renewal licence for a
collection agent/bailiff/debt pooler (<$250,000)............................................................................. $312.00 - subject to Note (b) below, application fee for a renewal licence for a
collection agent/bailiff/debt pooler ($250,000-499,999)................................................................. $516.00 - subject to Note (b) below, application fee for a renewal licence for a
collection agent/bailiff/debt pooler ($500,000-999,999).............................................................. $1,044.00 - subject to Note (b) below, application fee for a renewal licence for a
collection agent/bailiff/debt pooler ($1,000,000 or more)........................................................... ..$1,560.00 - subject to Note (c) below, fee for an application for a licence for a
branch location of a collection agent/bailiff/debt pooler (new & renewal)..................................... $312.00 - fee for recording a change of licensee’s name or address ............................................................ $50.00
- fee for recording a change in directors/officers/shareholders, effective May 1, 2006................... $50.00
- fee for an application for reconsideration of a Director’s decision................................................. $200.00
- charge for late filing of financial statements as required by s. 10(1) of the
Debt Collection Industry Regulation, effective May 1, 2006............................................................ $200.00 - charge for issuance of a replacement license ................................................................................ $25.00
- charge for submission of an NSF cheque ....................................................................................... $25.00
- charge for a laminated ID card in respect of a licence issued for a bailiff

NOTES: (a) All licences expire on December 31st. (b) Application of fees for items 3-6 above is based on gross annual collections of the agency during the previous fiscal year or part thereof.
