As of November 1, 2009, payday lenders require licences to conduct business in British Columbia. Consumer Protection BC is responsible for licensing and administering the regulations. If you are a consumer and have a complaint about the rates being charged, disclosure, cancellation rights or loan repayment you may submit a written complaint to us or call us at 1 888 564 9963 for more information.
