Consumer Protection BC issues licenses for Cemetery and Crematorium Operators, Funeral Providers, Funeral Directors and Funeral Enbalmers.  Funeral homes and cemeteries are regulated under the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act and the Cremation, Interment and Funeral Services Act.  The Act and related Cremation, Interment and Funeral Services Regulation ensure that consumers have the opportunity to make informed decisions when making cemetery and funeral service arrangements.
