{July 11, 2006} VICTORIA – The government of British Columbia is proceeding with consultations on a proposal to license funeral and cemetery salespeople under the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act.

The Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General has released a discussion paper which includes a questionnaire on the proposal. The discussion paper can be viewed on the Ministry website at: http://www.pssg.gov.bc.ca/legislation/.

The closing date for comments is Friday, August 25, 2006.
