Are you curious who you are connecting with most often when you reach us through Facebook, Twitter, or our blog?

Dealing with the death of a loved one can be very difficult emotionally.  Amid the grief, family members may also have to deal with making choices around issues such as funeral or memorial services.  With this in mind, some people prefer to make their own arrangements ahead of time.

It’s hard to believe that half of 2011 is almost over.  Nonetheless, it is June and the Leadership Team at Consumer Protection BC is turning its attention to 2012.  As an organization, we have been working on achieving the goals, objectives, and strategies of our 2011-2013 Business Plan over the past six months.   With the support of our Board of Directors, we’ve decided that now is a good time to review Consumer Protection BC’s current Vision, Mission, and Values to ensure they assist us on our journey and help to clarify our destination.

In British Columbia, the first week of June has been proclaimed Seniors’ Week.  The provincial government has created a great website for seniors called Seniors BC which can be found at http://www.seniorsbc.ca/.  On this site you will find information geared towards seniors about topics such as finance, transportation and healthy eating.
