Senior Licensing Officer
Salary Range: $50,919.75 to 57,911.61
Position Closing Date: May 30, 2015

This new position will interface with the compliance team and monitor the licensing program, investigate alleged violations and resolve any issues as they arise. The Senior Licensing Officer will also serve as the go-to person within the department to provide some guidance to staff in dealing with more complex issues.

Manager, Policy & Research
Salary Range: $60,688.71 to $69,345.65

To keep pace with the increasing demand for change from a number of business sectors, Consumer Protection BC has created this new position to engage with key stakeholders and quickly understand issues so they can provide their stakeholders with solid information to guide their decision-making. As such, a new position of Manager, Policy & Research has been created that will support all departments, particularly marketing and communications, and be responsible for undertaking internal and external quantitative and qualitative research and interpreting and communicating results.

Marketing & Communications Coordinator, Maternity Leave Coverage
Salary Range: $50,919.75 to 57,911.61

The organization is currently recruiting a Marketing & Communicators Coordinator on an approximate 14-month contract basis to cover for a maternity leave. This role is responsible for implementing a wide range of initiatives with particular emphasis on coordinating media relations, developing internal communication strategies and providing overall communications support, coordinating and updating web and social media channels, and providing administrative support to the Manager.

Manager, Stakeholder Relations

A new position has been created, Manager, Stakeholder Relations, to support the development of strategic stakeholder relations with government and the public, with a primary focus on industry relations within the sectors regulated by Consumer Protection BC. This role will identify and assess industry issues and trends and be a conduit to all departments within the organization in providing them with industry data.

Director, Human Resources, Maternity Leave Coverage

The key focus of the Director of Human Resources role will be developing and delivering programs that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture emphasizing empowerment and accountability. Individuals will be well-rounded with experience in HR strategy development, succession planning, training and staff development, organizational development, change management, employee performance management, recruitment, compensation, OH&S, HR policies and practices, and project management and facilitation skills. Candidates will preferably have their CHRP designation and at least four years providing strategic/organizational advice as well as operational HR advisory experience.
