 is looking for a Senior Licensing Officer to join our team!

The Senior Licensing Officer – Compliance role is focused on efficient workflow, effective business process, handling unusual complex issues related to consumer protection regulatory law and the administration of the licensing program. The role has a compliance focus related to the administration of the licensing program, and works closely with the licensing and inspections team on issues related to licensing and business compliance. The successful applicant will work alongside the Senior Licensing Officer – Finance within the licensing program.

What you will be doing:

  • Conducting administrative and paper based reviews of complex issues arising out of businesses’ licensing information to ensure compliance with legislation, policies and procedures, using the principles of administrative fairness in the examination and approval of documentation

  • Monitoring the day-to-day activities of the licensing program, providing business expertise to Licensing Officers and acting as a focal point for complex and unusual issues related to licencing of all regulated business sectors

  • Developing and delivering training to licensing team and others and assisting with the production and distribution of materials

Are you the next member of our team?

We are looking for people who have:

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field (e.g. Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminology) and several years related experience in a complex licensing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience reviewing legal and financial information pertaining to businesses, and working knowledge of the principles of administrative law

  • Team lead or supervisory experience, with knowledge of online data systems and computer software
